15 Things You Didn’t Know About The Simpsons!

Well …..  It’s holiday time at last!   Time to chill out, relax and take life at a slightly slower pace.  It is of course also a great time to grab that book you’ve always wanted to read!

For MGS Library Staff, it’s also a chance to take a break from our usual routine and go just a wee bit slower.   It’s a great opportunity to catch up on the ‘must read’ pile that seems to grow by the minute as well as a golden opportunity to linger just a little bit longer on some of the zillions of cool sites that are out there in cyberspace!

And so it was that we came upon this rather cool website which lists 15 intriguing facts about the Simpsons!

So many of us have grown up with Bart and Homer as part of our lives.   Their names, together with many from the extended Simpsons clan, are well known to young and old alike.  The Simpson’s really have endeared themselves to our hearts.

Its great to see that teachers use segments from episodes of the Simpsons to either start a class discussion or to illustrate a point that is the focus of instruction.

Talking of the Simpsons, be sure to check the growing collection of graphic novels in the GFL.   Tucked away in this collection are some really great reads.  Be sure to let us know of any graphic novels that you think we should add to our collection.   We just love suggestions!
